With a majority of her inaugural Bawa artworks being sketches, notes, studies, and intricate works on paper, we are able to get a sense of the artist’s exploration of her bustling cities. The portability of her sketchbook enables her to capture moving images while at the scene, and her animated yet deeply layered compositions reveal the artist’s process of recording her surroundings. Her works on paper have been created between Kuwait and New York, where Dalia is currently based.
